Florida State Twin Registry
The Florida State Twin Registry was started in 2003 using twins who attended FSU. The first study focused on executive functioning and its relation to features of personality disorder. That pilot study paved the way for a collaboration with Dr. Richard Wagner in 2005 when he established the Florida Learning Disabilities Research Center through an center grant from the National Institutes of Health. The Florida State Twin Registry is active with over 2,600 pairs of twins in Florida.
The Florida Twin Project on Reading, Behavior, and Environment
The Florida Twin Project on Reading, Behavior, and Environment includes multiple aims that will significantly advance our understanding of reading problem phenotypes, the environmental context in which genetic risk for reading problems may be expressed, and genetic and environmental factors underlying status and stability of comorbid reading and behavior problems.
